Bay Skate Sponsors

Although Bay Skate is run by the Napier City Council, the park's inception and creation wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of three key community sponsors: ECCT (Eastern & Central Community Trust), Lotteries Grants Board and Unison.

Bay Skate Sponsor: Unison

Unison supplies the power for every home and business in Hawke's Bay. They power the streetlights, the hospital, local government and much more. Unison know their customers are the lifeblood of their business, so that's why they get behind local initiatives and organisations that contribute to the wellbeing, growth and development of the region their customers live, work and play in. Their investment in Bay Skate is about demonstrating their commitment to local grass roots initiatives.

Lotteries Grants Board

The Board’s role is to distribute the profits made by the New Zealand Lotteries Commission, to set grant making policies and issue general directions to the distribution committees that make funding decisions.

Bay Skate Sponsor: ECCT

ECCT manage, invest and distribute funds for the benefit of East Coast communities. The Trust is an independent, charitable entity, and is open and accountable to its communities. The Trust donates around $5 million per annum to help community groups achieve the things they believe will make their communities a better place for all. Donations can be for charitable, cultural, philanthropic, or recreational projects or services, such as Bay Skate.
